Figure of General Havelock, white earthenware with a blue tinted crackle glaze, mounted on a horse, on an irregularly shaped oval plinth inscribed in raised gilt capitals. Horse and figure largely white and gilt, General Havelock in military dress with gilt detailing of black shoes, white trousers, white jacket, gilt medals and gilt outlined sash from left shoulder, naturalistically painted face, black hair moustaches and whiskers, and wearing an orange/red hat with flaps (a Havelock?), and resting left hand on thigh and with right arm folded across body, holding reins. Gilt spotted horse, prancing on a brown/black ground with two small clumps of extruded green grass, one by front the other by the back foot. Horse and rider face left.
