Figure of Sir George Brown mounted on a horse, white earthenware with a blue tinted crackle glaze, standing on an oval plinth inscribed in gilt raised capitals. Figure and horse facing right, largely white and gilt, figure in military dress, of black boots, knee breeches, high necked buttoned up jacket, sash across chest and around waist, gilt detailing and gilt medals, and yellow epaulettes, naturalistically painted face, grey hair and moustache, holding reins in right hand and resting left hand on saddle and holding a cocked hat. Seated astride a stepping gilt spotted white horse, horse's head bowed, two clumps of extruded grass by horse's black hooves. Gilt detailing.
