Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
2 samian bowl sherds, form Dr37. S179 is Southern Gaulish, dark, rather orange ware with a fairly good red gloss. There is a narrow rim band and a double border ovolo with rounded, plain tongue triffid tips. S180 is Central Gaulish orange ware with a good orange/brown gloss, now rather worn. The design is a little difficult to work out - possibly a basal wreath of open chevron leaves with a small animal (possibly a little running dog) to the right, with triffid leaf, ring and rosette. The borders are probably spaced flat beads.
Dr 37 is a hemispherical decorated bowl
