Candlestick
Square shaped base, with tapering sides and shallow rim. Rounded corners. Simple circular strap handle to one side of rim, applied with single rivet. Candlestick in the form of a vertical column with central hole to admit snuffers. A shell shaped thumbpiece applied to one side sits below a broad circular flange. Shallow socket at the top of the candlestick with a square shaped drip tray. Rounder corners. Vermillion japan with broad band of stylised foliate decoration to the rim, an inner band of scroll and leaf ornament, all in silver. Additional silver bands to the borders. Black japan to underside of base. Scissor shaped snuffers with central rivet. Vermillion japan.
