Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Swatches of tweed bound inside a rectangular shaped book covered in black and red imitation leather (coated fabric). The front cover is inscribed with a gold printed lettering, which reads 'QUALITY WORSTED SUITINGS IN STOCK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE PURE NEW WOOL NO 32'. There is also text on the binding which reads J.L. &S. LTD.,L 1968 ROYAL 8571. The left sides of the swatches appear to have been embedded in adhesive. On the end of the binding is a hanging loop made from black and red twisted rope.
Each fabric has an oval shaped white paper label adhered to the upper right corner, the first one reads '3055479 58" 20/21 oz'. The following swatches has consecutive numbers till 3111486. There is a paper utility label loose in the back of the book.
The swatches consist of varsious patterns in greys, blues and browns with pinked edges on three sides.
