Line impressed design: 8-petalled flowers within circles, each within a square, each square within a grid. Chester: 11 Watergate Street, St John's Church (Rutter 1990, 119/188); Rushen Abbey, Isle of Man (Jewitt 1885, 4); Haughmond Abbey (Lunt & Lisk forthcoming no. 167). cf. 756 also 753-4, 761.
15th Century
Dark greenish brown glossy glaze on upper surface extending onto one edge and the lower surface over the mortar. The impression on one side is poorly executed.
