Jug, pearlware, standing on a rounded slightly spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, angular scroll handle; the exterior of the jug covered with silver lustre, this then decorated using silver resist techniques with to the front of the body the inscription "John Fieldhouse / 1811" enclosed by a border og foliage, to either side of the body a stylized bird and spreading plants with a butterfly to one side of the body, two broad white bands around the lower body, a band of stylized foliage around the shoulder, a pattern of interlocking ovals around the neck, a small flower head to the underside of the spout, white stripes to the handle, a silver lustre band around the interior lip-rim and spout.
