Body stuffed with wood shavings and covered in black cotton fabric. Head is featureless and hairless and is shaped in line with truncated body, arms at sides, separate legs, all stitching done using white cotton thread. Dressed in white cotton petticoat and long sleeveless dress (which extends beyond the feet by c 23cm - i.e half the length of the doll). Faded pale blue ribbon trim at arm holes and tied around waist. The black fabric is a cotton sateen (4/1) with Z-spun singles yarns (fibre ID has been carried out).
