Mug, earthenware, standing on a rounded slightly spreading scalloped foot-rim, cylindrical sides with a reeded band around the lower body, two narrow basketwork bands around the middle of the body, angular handle with slightly raised thumb-spur; between the two basketwork bands around the middle of the exterior body a wide silver lustre band decorated using silver resist techniques with a pattern of alternate diagonal leaves and vertical foliate sprays, the basketwork bands overpainted with narrow red enamel bands, silver lustre bands around the interior and exterior lip-rim, the handle edged in silver lustre, most of which has now worn off. A crack to the body to one side of the handle.
