Teapot and cover, silver gilt (regilded), circular, supported on four reversed dolphin feet, linked by scrolls, shallow circular depressed vase-form body, elaborately embossed and chased with a panel of dead gamebirds in a landscape and with an empty assymetrical cartouche flanked by a suspended stag and hare, all amid flowers and scrolls on a matted ground, everted rim applied with band of stiff leaf surrounding further embossed flowers and foliage around the the shallow domed cover, hinged to the body and embossed with flowers on a matted ground; large naturalistic flower and foliage finial; elaborate upturned spout in the form of a merman issuing from acanthus and blowing a conch shell; ivory C-scroll handle, the thumbpiece carved with feathers.
