S.S. FORT BEAUHARNIOS, negative

“Victory” type cargo ship launched as FORT GRAND RAPIDS, but completed as the Stores Issuing ship CORNISH PARK in 1944 by West Coast Shipbuilders Ltd., Vancouver (engine by Allis-Chalmers), for the Canadian Government managed by Park Steamship Co., Montreal. 1945 – Assigned to the UK Ministry of Transport, and renamed FORT BEAUHARNOIS, managed by Lyle Shipping Co., London OR Holt & Co., Liverpool. 1947 – Taken over by the Admiralty as a “Stores Victualling Ship”. She was broken up at La Spezia in 1963. (Mariners List)(Tripod)
