Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Fragment of a rough pillar stone, probably representing about half the original length and width. It was already fractured when first noted by Lhuyd.
Site Name: Clwydi Banwen, Cadoxton-juxta Neath
Notes: Original monument was first recorded by Lhuyd in 1693. It was formerly located above on Cefn Hirfynydd, close to the road between the Roman forts of Neath and Coelbren; near the site of two ruined round barrows. It was subsequently moved to The Gnoll, Neath (before 1800) and became damaged. Since 1920, it has been located in the Swansea Museum.
