Plate, earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim; transfer-printed in red-brown with to the centre of the well a design showing the figure of a cupid on a cloud with a flowing scarf around his neck and holding up a billowing ribbon, a mottled red-brown painted or sponged border to the rim between two red-brown bands.
