Early Medieval human remains
A badly disturbed inhumation of an adult in a plain grave oriented north-south. The skeleton is represented by the torso and some arm bones only and is described as dipping down at the lower end, presumably into a pit feaure.
Elements present: L scapula, ribs, vertebrae, R distal humerus, unsided ulna fragment, metacarpals (R MC1 and L MC3), capitate, n=1 L proximal phalanx.
Elements recovered from fill were bagged separately: vertebrae, ribs, long bone fragments.
Animal bone was also recovered from the grave.
