Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1958, by D. R. Cledlyn Davies (born in 1875 in Llanybydder) about the Llanwenog region of Cardiganshire. The Answer Book includes notes on the historical development of personal names and surnames, bidding customs in 1892 and changes in a rural village. Also attached is a letter written by the respondent giving biographical details. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum in 1958 to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
