Seal impression: Exeter

Within a quatrefoil carved panel, a trefoil in each spandril, St John Baptist, bearded with radiant nimbus. He wears a camel-skin gathered by a beaded girdle, the head of the animal lying at his feet. Holding the Agnus Dei, he points to the Lamb with his right hand. To either side, a shield: a pair of open scissors. Cabled borders. The legend commences with a pieced cinqufoil, and quatrefoils separate the words
