Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Swatches of fabric bound inside a rectangular shaped book covered in green imitation leather (coated fabric). The front cover is decorated with a gold printed border, the company stamp (LB&DExeter) and the name of the type of fabrics (Lido worsted/terylene venetians). The tops of the swatches appear to have been embedded in adhesive. On the end of the binding is a hanging loop made from red, yellow and green twisted rope.
Each fabric has a rectangular shaped green label adhered to the upper right corner, the first one reads 'Lido 5301'. The following swatches has consecutive numbers till 5324.
The fabrics consist of a selection of plain, stripes and checks in various colous, the exposed edges are 'pinked' to prevent fraying. The first swatch has an additional label which reads ' Tickets are affixed to the face of the pattern' Swatch number 5316 has a piece missing.
