Basket, iron-plate, oblong-octagonal form with outcurving sides riveted together and pierced with a pattern of intersecting loops, to either side of the basket are attachments for handles which have now broken off and are missing; the japan surface of the basket has almost entirely worn off, but from what remains it appears to have had a tortoiseshell ground.
