FORT ALBANY (7131gt) : North Sands type cargo ship built 1943 by Davie Shipbuilding & Repair Co., Lauzon (engine by Dominion Engineering Works Ltd., Montreal), for the Canadian Government, managed by Frank S. Dawson Ltd, Cardiff, for MoWT. 1946 – Transferred to MOT (managed by H. Roberts & Son). 1948 – Sold by the Canadian Government to P& T Steamship Co., Montreal, and renamed LA FLECHE (managed by Papachristidis Co). 1953 – Managed by Cia. Atlantica Pacifica SA., Panama (same name and ownership). She was broken up at Mihara, Japan in 1961.
