Iron quoit, of the type used in international competition, and weighing approximately 10 pounds. Used between 1948-60, and belonged to Ted Robinson, Welsh International from Ebbw Vale.

The origin of the quoit is the Greek or Roman discus and is much like an ancient form of bowls. The quoits strip is 18-yards long with a peg at each end. Players take it in turns to throw the quoit, a small metal disc, as near to the peg as possible, swopping ends after each round of two throws. The player nearest the peg scores one point and the winner is the first to reach 21 points. An international match could take several hours to play.
