Miniature tureen, earthenware, standing on a spreading waisted foot with lobed foot-rim, half of the foot broken off, bulbous sides flaring out to an everted lobed lip-rim, to either side of the body twin horizontal foliate moulded loop handles, round domed cover, to the top of the cover a finial in the form of a flower bud surrounded by moulded leaves; the entire exterior and interior of the tureen, the handles, the top of the cover and the finial transfer-printed in sage-green with an all-over seaweed pattern consisting of feathery foliage interspersed with flower heads. The lip-rim and the rim of the cover chipped.
