Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Complete bronze looped palstave with a narrow blade, whose sides are straight and divergent to an unexpanded edge. There is a slight waisting below the stop. A single medial ridge, wider below the stop, and then tapering donw the blade, extends half way down one balde face, being less disntict on the reverse face. The stop levels are misaligned indicating a mismatching of mould parts. The but is square ended and the loop is complete and narrow in side-section.
Site Name: Nantmel, Powys
Notes: The palstaves were reportedly found in 5 different locations on different days by the same finder. This has been shown to be extremely unlikey and the coronor found in favour of the palstaves being directly associated and therefore treasure.
