Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with sprays of flowers, garlands and bows; transfer-printed in black and overpainted in red, pink, green and yellow with to the centre of the well a group of male figures ranging in age from a child to an old man gathered around a cot containing a baby, above the scene is the inscription "Infancy, Youth, / Manhood / and Old Age.", the moulded flowers and bows to the rim painted in red, yellow, brown and green, a brown band to the outer rim.
