Lino cut stamp 'FREE YOURSELF' covered in black ink. Brown handwritten luggage tag attached.
Tag reads 'THE UNOFFICAL SLOGAN OF "FREE YOURSELF" WAS COINED BECAUSE WE BELIEVE MAKING GENDER EXPRESSION & EXPERIMENTATION ACCESSIBLE DOESN'T MEAN CHANGING WHO YOU ARE IT JUST MEANS FREEING YOURSELF FROM THE GENDERED CONSTRAINTS AND FINANCIAL BARRIERS WE FACE AS A MARGINALISED COMMUNITY. THESE STAMPS WERE MADE FROM OLD LINO OFF CUTS, WE HAD NO MONEY FOR MATERIALS [End of front of tag, text continues on the back] HONESTLY WE STILL HAVE NO MONEY! WE HAD THESE AVAILABLE AT THE BRISTOL TDOV COMMUNITY DAY WHERE PEOPLE COULD PICK UP FREE CLOTHES, DONATE AND MAKE THERE OWN PATCHES WITH STAN SMITH, A TEXTILE ARTIST WHO WORKS WITH THE WARDROBE. BRISTOL'S TDOV COMMUNITY DAY IS ALWAYS OUR BUSIEST EVENT MOT/CTDOV/002.4
