Pot, ale
Alepot, fawn-coloured stoneware body, the body globular with an applied moulded coat of arms on the front, a slightly tapering horizontally ribbed cylindrical neck, the silver-gilt mounts comprising a plainly moulded notched foot band, a lid chased and embossed with masks, fruit and strapwork surmounted by a small vase-shaped finial, a cast thumbpiece in the form of a double faced mask, and a collar and handle mount engraved with foliate scrolls and intersecting strapwork bands.
