Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
These are well poorly preserved remains from the inhumation burial of an adult.
This burial is from the Early Bronze Age. They were situated separately, about 5m north, from the main Bronze Age burial mound.
Less than 25% of the remains survive due to disturbance and poor preservation. Based on excavators preliminary observations, this individual was interred on their left side in a crouched position oriented Northeast-Southwest.
The burial has a number of associated objects; An Early Bronze Age Beaker, 2025.7H/1.2 Two flint knives, 2025.7H/3.40 & 2025.7H/3.67 These items are commonly found within Welsh Early Bronze Age burials.
The grave fill (1580) also contained some fragments of animal bone and Roman era nails.
