Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society banner, in a wooden case. The case bears the maker's label, George Tuttill, Artistic Banner Painter, Regalia Manufacturer etc., 83 City Road, London, E.C. It was dispatched from maker on 1 December 1911 to W.J. Maddox, Secretary, The Foresters Friendly Society, Gullets Inn, Welshpool.
The banner has a red silk border, red fringe on bottom, with inner border in green silk, fixed on to a cross pole. On the obverse, there is a circular device inside the green border (in the centre of banner) elaborately decorated with a scene of two huntsmen armed with a bow and arrow, and shield, and a deer's head is painted on the top section of the woodland scene, with the sun shining down on it. On the reverse, there is a similar circular device with illustrations of angles, animals, viz. a lion and a lamb lying down together with a central figure of a man surrounded by children?, one of them holding a musical instrument.
