Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Teapot, dark red earthenware, standing on three feet, globular body with flat base and short cylindrical lip-rim, curving crabstock spout, crabstock loop handle, round domed cover with flat collar-like rim, to the top of the cover a finial in the shape of a dove-like bird, a pierced steam hole to one side of the cover, moulded lion-like masks to the top of the feet, the body moulded with a decoration of roses and vines, moulded vine leaves to the cover; covered all over with a glossy black glaze, the moulded decoration overpainted in gilt some of which has worn off, gilt markings to the feet and spout, the finial painted in gilt.
