¾ Starboard bow view of S.S. CULRAIN at Cardiff Docks.
Built 1941 as EMPIRE DARWIN by William Gray & Co Ltd., West Hartlepool, for MoWT, managed by Evan Thomas, Radcliffe & Co Ltd., Cardiff. 1943 – Management transferred to Christian Salvesen & Co, Leith. 1945 – Sold to Christian Salvesen & Co., and renamed CULRAIN in 1946. 1959 – Sold to North Europe & Persian Gulf Transport Corporation, Monrovia, and renamed MERSINIDI. She was broken up at Singapore in 1966.
