Application form of Reginald Hall to join Monmouthshire Constabulary in 1945-6

Paper application form to join police force. Folded into 4 pages. Light blue paper with typed text. Candidate has filled in the form in black ink. First page contains list of required quailifications for constables, including to be under 25 years of age, (although the candidate is listed on page 3 as being 27) and stamp of Chief Constable's Office Abergavenny dated 4 Sep 1945. Page 2 contains list of Conditions of Admission into Monmouthshire Constabulary, signed by the candidate on 2 May 1946. Page 3 contains a description of the candidate filled in in his own handwriting, a certificate of character signed by 3 referees, an authenticating certificate regarding these signatures signed by a Superintendent, and a surgeon's certificate dated 5/8(?)/46. Back page has candidate's signed declaration, and signature of Chief Constable next to candidate's date of appointment, 21 May 1946. Also signatures of 2 Justices of the Peace as witnesses dated the following day.
