This vessel was completed in 1937 by W.J. Yarwood and Co. of Northwich to the order of the Caernarfon Harbour Trust. For over forty years she served as a dredger and buoy tender in the Menai Straits and was know to all in Caernarfon as 'y cwch mwd' (the mud boat). Withdrawn from service in the later 1970's, she was bought by the National Museum of Wales and placed in the care of the Seiont II Maritime Trust at Caernarfon. Between 1984 and 1986 she was overhauled by Cammel Laird Yard atBirkenhead.
