Chair

Bardic chair for the Abergavenny Chair Eisteddfod held on 12 April 1909. The chair was presented for a poem on the subject 'Gwenynen Gwent', in memory of Lady Augusta Hall of Llanover. The winning poet was the Rev Crwys Williams

A cross chair in the Tudor fashion with turned stretchers, carved arm supports, terminating in lion masks. There is also a lion mark below the seat and on the cresting rail with carved inscription.
