Willows 2 Airship model

Woolrich, A.P. (Mr)

Model of the Willows II airship set in landscape scene (original airship was built in 1910 in East Moors, Cardiff). Scale 1:43 (7mm-1ft).

Ernest Willows, born in Cardiff, was the first person to cross the Channel from England to France and was an outstanding pioneer of airships in Britain, making many pioneering journeys. He died in a balloon accident.
