Seal impression: Monastic

A representation of the priory church with the west doors flung open. To either side of the central spire, on a rectangle: barry of two, in chief three roundels, WAKE (for Thomas Wake, founder). In base, a shield: a cross patonce, HALTEMPRICE PRIORY. To either side of the church a shield, dext. STUTEVILLE (married into the Wake family), sin. barry of twelve. Field diapered lozengy with ? small stars. Cusped border, ornamented with crosses, lion's faces and fleurs-de-lis. The legends of the obverse and reverse, taken together, contain every letter of the Roman alphabet.
