Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, curving sides and spreading rim, a very slightly raised edge to the well, four notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in blue with the 'Oriental Basket' pattern, a tall-stemmed bowl containing flowers in the foreground with exotic birds to either side of it, the inscription 'JANE WILLIAMS' is at the base of the stem of the bowl, in the background a pseudo-oriental landscape with European and Oriental shipping and Oriental buildings, a border of flowers and foliage around the bottom portion of the scene, a black band to the rim.
