Roman samian bowl
Samian bowl sherds. S64 is a bowl sherd of form Dr37. It is thin pink ware with a glossy red slip. The panel design is a dog or lion to the left and a human figure in the panel. S65 is a bowl sherd of form Dr30. It is a very badly worn and battered Central Gaulish sherd of pinkish ware with slight traces of a brown-red slip. DIVIXTVS style. Figure types - a large caryatid (Oswald 1207a) on the left a satyr carrying a wineskin to the right (Oswald 627)
Dr 37 is a hemispherical decorated bowl
Dr 30 is an approximately cylindrical decorated bowl (vase)
