S.S. SWAINBY (4) (6711 gt). Built 1941 by Wm. Gray & Co., West Hartlepool as EMPIRE SUNBEAM. 1945 - purchased from Ministry of War Transport by Ropner Shipping Company and renamed SWAINBY. 1962 - sold to Trafalgar S.S. Co., London and renamed NEWGATE. She was scrapped in 1971.
