Cabinet

W. ? Heap & Co Ltd , Stadium Works

This cabinet was purchased at an Ideal Home Exhibition held in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff during early 1950s. The cabinet was said to be one of only two manufactured. It's belived that the cabinet was quite expensive at the time and that it was only used by the family on special occasions at their home on Cathays Terrace, Cardiff.

Metal cabinet, of pastel green colour incorporating two cupboards and one drawer within upper part; cupboard doors are sliding and made of wooden rods with wooden handles; one cupboard is larger than the other - possibly used to keep dinner or glassware and condiments; drawer probaly used for cutlery; lower portion of cabinet incorporates a hinged folding wooden dining table; when closed the table lays flush within the cabinet.
