Hors d'oeuvres set, six earthenware dishes in a fitted oak tray, each dish on a shallow foot rim and with curved sides rising to the horizontal rim, two of the dishes rectangular with a horizontal flange at each end, each with a small square cut away at one corner, four of the dishes smaller and nearly square with one flange only with one corner cut away, these all fitting into a rectangular oak tray with vertical sides and a horizontal handle at each end that echoes the flanges of the dishes; the dishes painted in enamels as follows: red and black dashes at the edge of the flanges, green and red bands inside the rim, a black hatched motif in the bottom as part of each design, these being (rectangular dishes) (a) a red fish with foliage(?), (b) a blue fish with foliage(?), (square dishes) (c) a tomato and peas, (d) a sliced tomato with split pea pod, (e) a red fish with swirls, (f) a blue fish with swirls.
