rectangular black case, used for fabric samples from Esgair Moel Woollen Factory; opening at one end (side) closed with two leather straps and metal buckles; leather handle; inside lined with cream tabby woven cellulosic fabric, interior structure made up of three layers of thin card board; outside, case is covered in a coated fabric (coarse twill-woven cellulosic fabric); edges are bound with leather strips; remains of adhesive paper labels stuck to sides.
