Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
WOOLLEN CANVAS, embroidered with coloured silks in cross, foursided and eye stitches. At the top, in six horizontal rows, separated by narrow bands of geometric ornament, are alphabets in capital and small letters, numerals to 3, and the name (damaged) "Eliza M D Griffies W . . . ms. 1819". Below there is a flowering plant in a pot, and lion, butterfly, crown, anchor, dog and floral designs symmetrically arranged in pairs. There is a zig-zag border.
