North Sands type built 1944 by United Shipyards Ltd., Montreal (engine by Dominion Engineering Works Ltd., Montreal) for Park Steamship Co., Montreal, managed by Canadian Pacific Steamships Ltd. 1946 – Assigned to MOT and managed by Watts, Watts & Co., London. 1950 – Still with MOT, managed by Douglas & Ramsey, London. 1950 – Sold to Halifax & Overseas Freighters, London and renamed CEDAR HILL, managed by Counties Ships Management Ltd. 1964 – Owned by Counties Steam Navigation Co., London (same managers). She was broken up at Hirao, Japan in 1966.
