Powder Magazine Day Book for Dinorwig quarries, Llanberis. Records sales of various types of explosives and associated products, to men in named quarry districts. Quarry numbers are sometimes used, along with the weekly total of explosives which the men had purchased. Note that the book covers the transition from the period when men had to pay for explosives used, to the period when management assumed responsibility for proving explosives. Date of changover is given : January 16, 1967. Note also that management, prior to this date, already accepted responsibility for some bills. Sales of materials to individuals, companies and the County Council are also recorded.
