Samian bowl sherd, form Dr37. Quite thin orange ware with a fairly matt, light orange/red slip. The ovolo is bead-tipped, with a double border, a bold wavy line, and panels with large 10 pointed wheel rosettes. The upper central panel has a small plain double medallion with an uncertain enclosed motif. The left hand lower panel is an unidentifiable type. The right hand upper panel shows a lion lying down to the left (Oswald 1421). In the right hand lower panel there is a rather uncertain figure facing left, right arm raised, possibly a figure seated with a wine cup in left hand.
Dr 37 is a hemispherical decorated bowl
