Middle Bronze Age cremated human remains

Date; Radiocarbon date of cremated remains: 1294-1123 cal BC Radiocarbon date of Hazel Nutshell: 1133-1011 cal BC

Grave Goods; Charred Wooden Comb Fragments, SF 19-013, in (590) Penannular Gold Rin, SF 19-12 (537)

Burial Pit; The pit [536] is located 24m east of the penannular ditch G6. It was sub-circular in plan-orientation N-S with almost vertical sides and a roughly flat base containing two fills. The basal fill (590) consisted of firm mottled grey and orange clay and silty clay with occasional charcoal flecks and cremated human bone (20.15g) inclusions. The upper fill (537) consisted of a friable black charcoal-rich silt clay with cremated human bone (392.48g) inclusions.
