Find Information

Site Name: Milton Street, Swanscombe

Date: 19th century, Late

Notes: "Tip end given by the workmen (no. 21) in November 1899. Butt end found by Stopes in the pit (no. 20) Jan 27th 1900 in a cutting 30-40 yards back from the place where the point was found. The men had tried to find the butt. Mr R. Jones was with me at the time I found the butt. At Milton Str. Pit, Swanscombe, Kent."
