Tall hat, slightly tapered crown, covered with black beaver silk, and lined with sized cotton. Brown satin inner lining band, with later ribbon ties. Stamped inside crown: CHRISTYS LONDON. Hat band of plain black velvet ribbon. Fair condition, not particularly good specimen.
