Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Banner made by Glitter Cymru, 2018, and used at various pride events including the first Welsh BAME Pride held on 10 August 2019 at Cathays Community Centre, Cardiff. Glitter Cymru was founded in 2016 and is a social and support group for LGBTQ+ people of colour.
Thin card letters of yellow, green and blue, spelling out 'GLITTER' cut out and stapled onto a soft plastic ground. The card has a shiny laminated top layer of metallic/holographic material. The first two letters have a circle-effect pattern and the remaining five letters have a pattern of small speckles. The sequence of colours is yellow-green-blue-yellow-green-blue-yellow. The plastic ground is made from one large piece which has been folded into four layers resulting in a narrow rectangular strip. The plastic has a small pattern of off-set rows of blue, yellow and red 5-point stars. The layers of the ground material are stapled together all along the edges. The upper corner of the proper left side (adjacent to the letter 'R') has been reinforced with clear self adhesive tape.
