Silk rosette from the first Urdd Eisteddfod, held in Corwen in 1929
Urdd Gobaith Cymru insignia in centre. 'Yr Urdd er Mwyn Cymru' stamped on badge, 'Corwen 1929' stamped on ribbon.
5-point badge is of yellow metal (brass?) which is attached to a circle of dark blue petersham ribbon. The printed section of ribbon hangs down from the circular part. At least 2 layers of synthetic? material have been adhered to the reverse of the rosette. A safety pin has been inserted through the outer dark blue layer. Width of ribbon is 1 1/4 inch (3.2cm)
