Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A wide leather strap with a loop of leather (crupper) through which horse's tail passes at one end. The other end has a strap extending from it for attaching to a buckle (? on cart saddle). On the underside of the strap there is a stuffed pad. On the top side of the strap there is a large iron D ring to which two (hip) straps are attached on either side. Approximately half way along the stap there is a buckle with a slot through the stap just in front of it. [RP, 25/05/06]
